SAQCC Gas is a nonprofit company which is mandated by the Department of Employment and Labour to register and maintain a central database, on the department's behalf, of gas practitioners within the following gas industries:
- Natural Gas;
- Liquified Petroleum Gas;
- Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Gas; and
- Compressed Industrial and Medical Gases.
In the wake of increases in certification-related fraud, the SAQCC Gas has launched a digital platform for the issue of gas compliance certificates. The platform has been fully active since 1 April this year and requires of the SAQCC-registered inspector who is appointed to perform the inspection, to issue the certificate using the online App.
